The Resurrection of our Lord Jesus
Christ, the crux of the
Christian faith is one of the most important events in all of
human history. As the Apostle Paul said, “If Christ has not been
raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.
We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified
about God that He raised Christ (from the dead)...” (1 Cor
15:14-15).
THANKSGIVING AND CELEBRATION
The Resurrection calls for
thanksgiving and celebration. Thanksgiving because by His triumph
over death, the Lord Jesus Christ set us free from the powers of
death, and so thank Him we must. Death has lost its sting! Again
we declare with Paul,“O death, where is your victory? O death,
where is your sting?”
(1 Cor 15:55)
The Resurrection also calls for a special celebration and sharing
of joy and fellowship with others even as this great eternal
victory that our Lord Jesus Christ has accomplished for all
humanity will be celebrated in all eternity.
YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS
CELEBRATION
Let us seize this opportunity
to share the resurrection of our living Saviour with our
pre-believing relatives, colleagues, classmates and friends. At
this evangelistic 8 course lunch, members and pre-believers will
be shown a video clip on Christ’s Resurrection, hear testimonies,
hear the good news preached and have an opportunity to respond in
a warm and friendly environment.
Tickets are on sale at the Information
Counter. As this event is evangelistic in nature, for every two
Cathedral members who come, they are to bring along at least one
pre-believer.
