ABOUT THE NEW EXTENSION
The Building
The Cathedral's project to build an extension to the existing church building with a contemporary architectural design approved by the Urban Redevelopment Authority and the Preservation of Monuments Board of a single-storey block with two basements comprising:
1) A worship hall with a seating capacity of 800,a prayer hall and ministry rooms
2) A visitors’ centre, a chapel, a sunken courtyard cum amphitheatre
3) Above-ground covered walk-way links to the City Hall MRT Station and the existing church building
4) Facilities such as lifts and multi-media,

in a built up area of approximately 2875 sq m located at the North Lawn, facing North Bridge Road and at a cost
of about S$12.5 million. It was completed in November 2005.
