Are
your children starving? Children need spiritual food for
their spirits to grow. When we bring our children to the
Lord in prayer, we act as conduits so that the Holy
Spirit can nourish their spirits.
In the new season of PETALS, we will be learning to pray
more effectively for our children with 45 minutes of
interactive bible study followed by 45 minutes of
praying personalized bible verses into the lives of our
children.
In the last three years, the Lord has directed us
clearly in the following ways:
- We need to pray in the
Spirit and according to the Word of God (Ephesians 6:
17, 18);
- God will give us what
we desire if we ask according to His will (1 John
5:14, 15);
- God’s will is revealed
in His Word (Deuteronomy 28: 29);
- God’s Word will
achieve its result (Isaiah 55:10, 11);
- God will be in our
midst as we gather in His Name with two or three or
more to agree in prayer (Matthew 18:19,20).
Based on this, we have
written prayers based on the Word of God that we pray
collectively. An example of a PETALS prayer is:
Lord, You have said that if we, being evil, know how to
give good gifts to our children, how much more will our
Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask
Him! (Luke 11:13). Please, therefore, Father God, give
(names of your children) Your Helper, that He may abide
with us forever—the Spirit of truth (John 14:16,17).
Come and see what the Lord can do in your child’s life
when you pray His Word in the Holy Spirit in agreement
with other mothers, grandmothers and teachers. Please
