Christian Education
A
PASTORAL CHALLENGE
FROM THE DEAN & VICAR
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Shalom and warm greetings in the blessed name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Please let me share some words of encouragement as we come into 2010. Make
the study of the Word of God a priority in your life. In 2 Tim 3:16-17, we
read these words – “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable
for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in
righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every
good work.”
All of us desire to hear from the Lord Jesus Christ these words of
commendation when we see Him face to face – “Well done, good and faithful
servant.” What will shape us to be good, and enable us to be faithful for
every good work, is Holy Scripture. I want to encourage all members of St.
Andrew’s Cathedral to make time to study God’s Word.
All the various tracks of the Christian Education programme are useful, of
course. There is something for everyone. Cell group leaders may want to
organise your cells to attend some of these courses together. It will make
for both spiritual growth and bonding as well.
We are of course continuing the
Inductive Bible Study Track. Those
who have attended previous IBST courses will attest to the benefit of such
studies. If you have never been involved in such a study, I want to
strongly encourage you to do so this year.
God bless you abundantly as you live as people ‘whose way is blameless,
who walk in the law of the Lord.’ Amen.
