A Pastoral Challenge from the Dean and Vicar

Dear Friends in Christ,

“What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” (2 Timothy 2:2, ESV)

These words of the Apostle Paul in 2 Tim 2:2 teach us a very important principle concerning the life and ministry of the Church. The key to a healthy church life is the equipping of faithful men and women who would then entrust that treasure to the next spiritual generation, teaching them to do the same.

Learning the Word of God is vital to our personal spiritual growth as well. I like to encourage all members of the Cathedral to be part of the “faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”

As usual the courses offered this year are comprehensive. There is something for everyone. Make time to be equipped with the Word of God so that you are always ready “to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.” (1 Peter 3:15)
