Raising Godly, Disciplined Children
20/2 – 5/3 (3 Wed 7:30pm @ ST Hall)
Rev John Lin

Christian parents have an awesome responsibility to bring up our children in the fear of God and to walk in His ways. Unfortunately, in the busyness of life, we may drift along in our parenting and before we know it, our children have grown up. And it may be too late to teach them spiritual values and shape their Christian character.

This course is designed for parents with young children; babies, toddlers or children up to 12 years old. It hopes to help parents to:

• Understand the biblical perspectives of raising a godly, disciplined child.
• Learn how to cultivate the spiritual life of our child and set suitable spiritual goals.
• Learn the importance and practice of child discipline.

About the speaker
Rev John Lin serves as pastor at St Andrew’s Cathedral and is a happy father of 3 children aged 11, 4 and 2. He believes that there are no perfect parents – just good parents who try their best to bring up their children in the midst of a broken and fragmented world with so much emphasis on education, success and materialism. It is his desire to see Christian parents, especially fathers, be purposeful and focused to “train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).
