SAC Christian Education
Programme seeks to provide a holistic and integrated approach to building
faith, transforming lives and equipping for ministry. It is concerned with
the cognitive (knowing), affective (being) and skill (doing) development
of the total person. It provides training in various areas relating to
life and ministry:
In 2009, we are introducing the
Inductive Bible Study Track (IBST) as part of our CE Programme.
This is to encourage SAC members to read and interpret the Bible and to
share life applications with others in small groups.
Our aim is to “prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body
of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the
knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole
measure of the fullness of Christ” (Eph 4:12, 13). Besides building on the
biblical understanding and faith of individual believers, the courses also
hope to build the community life within SAC and to equip the laity for
service and ministry in SAC, in the Diocese and in Singapore.
I thank God for the many teachers who make sacrifice of time to share with
us from their rich experience and wisdom. May I encourage every leader and
every member in SAC to avail themselves of these opportunities to grow in
understanding and I believe that our God will bless us richly through
these times of learning.
