Synopsis:
(The talks were held on 20 Jul, 27 Jul & 3 Aug 2010.)
This short course will examine what the conscience is and what it does. We shall
trace the outline of biblical teachings on the conscience, and explore the roles
that conscience plays in the whole process of Christian salvation and spiritual
formation.
Other questions that will be addressed are:
- How do we minister to the conscience in church and train it to function
properly?
- What are the implications of living with the conscience at home, in the
workplace, and society at large?
About the speaker
Bishop Dr Robert Solomon is the Bishop of the
Methodist Church in Singapore. Prior to that, he was a medical doctor in
government service before serving God full-time as a pastor. He was Principal of
the Trinity Theological College in 2000. Bishop Solomon holds a PhD from the
University of Edinburgh specializing in Pastoral Care and Counseling.
