The Cross stands at the heart of the Christian faith. It not only tells us of our situation; it is able to change it. Wrestling with the meaning of the Cross will certainly bring a new quality and depth to our faith.

The Lenten Devotions will focus on the Cross – the depth of forgiveness we have received in Christ, not just for what we have done but for who we are. It is only when God’s forgiveness melts our hearts in love and we find we are embraced by the Father’s love in spite of ourselves that we will be enabled to truly forgive those who have wronged us without excuse and reason.

In truth, Christ was disfigured on the Cross that we might be transfigured in our lives by His forgiveness!
