Acts: Distinctive Faith in a Hostile World
8/5 – 5/6 (5 Thurs, 7.30 pm @ PH A-B)
Rev Timothy Chow
The accounts of Luke in Acts show clearly the commitment, conviction and courage
of the early disciples. They took the Great Commission seriously and were not
afraid to bear the consequences as followers of Christ, the Messiah. The world
they were living in was by no means friendly towards the Gospel. It was hostile
toward their faith and beliefs.
How did the early Christians not only survive but grew and impacted their world?
How did they live out their Christian distinctiveness in an oppressive
environment? The course will study the life and witness of the Early Church and
draw vital lessons that we can apply to our life and witness today.
