Course Synopsis:
(This course was held on 13 - 27 Sep [3 Thurs])
The Book of Samuel provides a clear mirror and inspiration for contemporary readers to reflect on their own walk with God. It describes God’s dealing with His people and their struggle to give Him whole-hearted worship and obedience. As a narrative, its vivid character descriptions fully portray both the people’s successes and failures in leadership and in their personal devotion to God. In the end, the root for right and wrong leadership and worship is always traced to the hearts of the people and the place of God in their hearts. That is what matters.
