What it is all about?
To be a member of St Andrew's Cathedral is to be a part of the big
Anglican family in Singapore. There are about 23 Anglican parishes
in Singapore, many of which have been "birthed" by the
Cathedral. The Cathedral itself has a big congregation and you will
find yourself enjoying the fellowship of a larger community of
Christians.
Membership at the Cathedral does have
its privileges. For instance:
- You will be granted voting rights
at our Annual General Meeting. You will also be given an
opportunity to be a part of the decision-making body of the
Church if you are elected onto the Church Board.
- You have access to the pastoral
team for their help and counsel.
- You have access to the Church
facilities, such as the Sanctuary for weddings, funerals, etc.
How does one become a member of the
Cathedral?
You will have to be baptised and confirmed before you can be
considered for membership. So, if you have received Jesus Christ as
your personal Lord and Saviour, and would like to be a member of
Cathedral, do approach any of the pastoral
team or the Information Desk at the respective
Sunday
services or contact the Cathedral
office during weekdays at Tel: 6337 6104 or Fax: 6339 1197 for
information regarding the baptism and confirmation class which you
will have to attend.
However if you are from another
Church and would like to transfer membership to the Cathedral, the
following are some procedures that you will have to follow:
- If you are from another
Anglican Church,
1. Fill in 2 copies of the
yellow transfer form (obtainable either from the Cathedral office
or from your own Church office),
2. Hand in the completed form to your Church and your
Church will effect the necessary transfer.
- If you are from another
denomination,
1. Write a letter to your
pastor requesting for the transfer, and send a copy of the letter
to the Dean Cathedral at the following address: Dean, St
Andrew's Cathedral, 11 St Andrew's Road Singapore 178959
2. Upon receipt of this letter, we will send you the
necessary forms to complete.
3. On completion and return of the forms, the Cathedral
office will then effect the necessary transfer.

my personal particulars if I am already a Cathedral member?
