FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES
Handbell
Concert by the Hong Kong Youth Handbell Ensemble
Held on 28 July 2007 at the St. Andrew's Cathedral Nave
It was a balmy Saturday evening as more than 200 guests and
well-wishers of Project Khmer H.O.P.E. streamed in to catch
the Hong Kong Youth Handbell Ensemble in action. Led by Ms
Emily Li, founder and artistic director of the Ensemble, the
ringers gave a rousing performance of sacred music and
familiar favorites. These ringers aged between 8 and 15,
mesmerized the crowd with their energy and fascinating
movements using handbells. Mr. Kevin Ko, composer and
President of the Asia Handbell Music Centre, also captivated
the audience a solo performance using a range of handbells.

A free-will offering was collected after Ds Bessie Lee,
Director of Project Khmer H.O.P.E. gave a word of thanks. All
the funds raised from the concern will be used towards
supporting PKHʼs activities. Revd Canon Louis Tay closed the
concert with a prayer.
We wish to thank the Asia Handbell Music Centre, the Hong Kong
Youth Handbell Ensemble, Ms Emily Li, Mr Kevin Ko and all
staff and volunteers involved for making the eveningʼs
performance possible.
