Going for Gold with God's Help

This incident happened shortly after I came to know Christ. I was at a Christian store with my friend looking for badges, when I chanced upon this verse from Isaiah 40:31. It caught my eye and I remembered it totally. And it even became my favourite Bible verse. I really came to experience the full meaning when it had an impact on my personal life.

I was having my NAPFA test. a physical fitness test in schools. It's very important to complete this test especially for guys as it affects the NS results and posting. Nearing the end of my 2.4km run, which was the last item for the test, I was completely drained of all energy. A thought came to my mind to give up eventhough I was at my last round. Suddenly, I remembered the verse in Isaiah 40:31. I prayed to God, asking Him for His strength to let me soar like an eagle. God responded. I finished my run, topped the class in my NAPFA and scored a perfect 30 points.

To end this testimony on a sweet note, my usual habit on Wednesdays are to play basketball in the evening with my friends. God's promised strength did not end at the NAPFA test itself. It gave me the strength to even play ball after NAPFA! I played it for another 3 hours non-stop. Afterwards, the usual lethargy did not even set in! Thank God for all that He has done in my life! Praise the Lord!!
