Outreach
Ministry
To make a difference
LYnC’s outreach ministry is aimed at preparing and helping youths
to make a difference as we fulfill the Great Commandment.
There are 3 main areas that we focus on:
-
To create
opportunities to reach out to out to other teenagers.
-
To co-ordinate Study
Groups
-
Outreach work: To
learn and be equipped with evangelistic tools/methods
1. To create
opportunities to reach out to other teenagers.
Sports, outings and
games day have been a regular feature in LYnC for the past year.
Special Saturdays have been allocated to games day where youths
are encouraged to invite their friends to LYnC in an informal
setting. The outreach and welcome/fellowship ministry work
together to organize events/games such as Frisbee competitions and
Amazing Race @ City Hall district as part of our outreach efforts.

2. To co-ordinate Study Groups
LYnC’s study groups
focuses on helping the current youths with their studies, as well
as a platform to welcome pre-believers to join in the study
groups, and hopefully, come to know of God’s love for them over
time. The Lord has blessed the study group with tutors, as well as
bringing youths to the study groups over the past year.
Testimonies are abound with improved grades, and some youths have
really come to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior through
contact from the study group.

3. Outreach work: To learn and be equipped with evangelistic
tools/methods
LYnC was scheduled with the theme of Outreach in the earlier part
of this year, culminating to the Easter Play. Workshops were held
to equip youths with common questions asked by pre-believers,
methods to share the gospel (such as tearing of the cross, drawing
of the bridge, the five-finger gospel).
Youths were challenged to put them into practice and many came
back on following Saturdays to share how the Lord had given them
the opportunity to share the gospel with their friends over those
weeks. This outreach season included a Gamers Day and invitations
to the Easter Play in April.
Together with the creative ministry, youths have been engaged to
design pocket cards that were produced for youths to write
messages and link up with their friends. It was well-received and
it was heartening to see many youths using the cards actively.
In all, the outreach ministry hopes to play an active role in
encouraging and helping the youths to play their part in
fulfilling the Great Commandment. Most importantly, outreach
cannot be a program that should be fulfilled, but it should be a
lifestyle that the youths embrace and live out in each and
everyday of their lives.

The Father heart of God…
He loved you so much that He gave His One & Only Son for You.
He gave You Jesus.
The thing is…
Jesus died for everyone too.
What can you do for Your Saviour today?
Do you hear the Father’s heartbeat?
God wants all the other teenagers to know Him just like you do…
Your friends, Your classmates, teenagers on the streets…
He needs teenagers like you to reach out to the other teenagers…
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord
of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest
field.” (Luke 10: 2)
The story is told of a man walking along a beach. He happened upon
a little boy surrounded by hundreds of starfish that had washed up
onto the shore.
The little boy was picking up the starfish, one at a time, and
tossing them back into the ocean.
The man walked up to the little boy and said, "Little boy, what
are you doing? There are hundreds of starfish and only one of you
- you can't possibly make a difference!"
The little boy reached down, picked up another starfish and tossed
it back into the ocean. Looking up at the man, he replied, "I made
a difference to that one."
Do you hear Jesus say…
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations… (Matthew 28: 19)
Do you want to join us to make that difference?
